Adult Learning in Alberta

Calgary Learns is a major recipient of Community Adult Learning Program (CALP) funds. Through the Community Adult Learning Program, Alberta Advanced Education provides funding to support the delivery of part-time, non-formal adult foundational learning opportunities in local communities. Presently, 125 organizations in 83 communities across Alberta receive funding through the Community Adult Learning Program.

We are one of three Granting Councils (Edmonton and Red Deer are the others) charged with distributing Community Adult Learning Program funding to foundational adult learning providers in our cities.

Policy and Operating Requirements
Calgary Learns granting work is bound by the Community Adult Learning Program Guidelines, July 2016.
