Initiative Funding


Initiative grants address new and emerging adult foundational learning needs in Calgary. This funding supports community-focused non-profit organizations to research and develop learning resources, and to pilot innovative foundational learning opportunities for adult Calgarians with financial barriers.

  • Proposals are due June 1 annually for the July – June grant term
  • Projects must demonstrate community need and an innovative response
