Refugee Language & Support Grant

This Refugee Language and Learning funding has now been allocated. This funding call is closed.

Calgary Learns funds non-profit organizations to provide foundational learning opportunities for adult Calgarians who face economic barriers to learning. The Refugee Language and Support Grant is a temporary grant stream that runs July 2016 through June 2018. One-time projects funded through this grant will support refugee newcomers to gain proficiency in the English language. Focus is on the needs of refugees with low educational attainment and low levels of English. Review the Request for Proposals and Application Form to determine your organization’s eligibility for funding and our requirements for a successful grant. If you have further questions or meet all of the above requirements and plan to apply, please connect with Grants Coordinator Jeannie Finch at (403.266.6444, ext. 4) before starting an application.
